Frappe Technologies
OPEN POSITIONS
Video Editor

We’re looking for an experienced video creator who’ll bring our products and people to life. The work will range from creating educational videos on the product to interviewing our internal team to show what’s happening behind the scenes.

What you’ll be working on

  • Educational/product videos that’ll guide users on how to use the product.
  • You’ll be writing the video scripts, creating screencasts, and giving voiceovers to the videos. We do have some volunteers for voiceovers.
  • Promoting videos and optimizations to get videos in front of more eyes.
  • Editing existing videos, creating highlights from webinars.
  • Creating interview videos by interviewing internal employees, external stakeholders, etc.
  • Any miscellaneous short videos around the product or promotional videos.
  • Sometimes, contributing to the documentation by reviewing, making edits for clarity, updating content etc.

What we’re looking for

  • Since you’ll be creating videos that’ll explain the product to users among other things, you should be able to thoroughly understand the product first. Succinctly expressing important concepts via videos will be a major part of what you’ll be doing.
  • You have a good command of the English language and have a flair for writing.
  • You like helping people and solve their problems by educating them with the videos you create.
  • You're driven to do very high-quality work. All scripts, visuals, and voice overs should be crisp.
  • You should have a great eye for detail to avoid mistakes and discrepancies in your work and maintain consistency. It’s not a lot of fun to redo videos multiple times.
  • You’re independent and self-directed to work autonomously for the most part. Don't worry, you'll get all the guidance you need to settle yourself in the role.
  • You'll be self reviewing your work at the first level for script proofreading, video alignment, and formatting.
  • Someone with an experience of about 2 years is desirable. If you’re familiar with creating videos and know the basics like storyline, visuals, and editing, this can be overlooked.
  • You may have any degree, having the right skills is more important :).
  • And finally, this is a young team, you should be open to learning new things on the go and contributing where necessary.

Desirable, not compulsory

  • Creativity is a plus if you can spin off your take on video creation.
  • A sense of humor to weave into the videos you create is a bonus.
